With a large palette of boiling corn syrup and a variety of precision tools, Shan utilizes highly choreographed gestures and flourishes as he dips, molds, pinches and pulls at the jewel-toned ³goo² while it cools and hardens into astonishingly intricate sculptures of fantastic animals and objects that are worthy of almost any mantel. While he has sculpted well over 100 different objects, Shan can sculpt any object his audience can think of.
