Anime Conji is a fan con put together by anime fans in San Diego volunteering their time and effort to put on a fantastic show.  The dates of the convention are March 27 to March 28 2011 in the Town & Country Hotel in Mission Valley, San Diego, CA.

Here is an excerpt from the Anime Conji website explaining the background of the group putting on the show:

“Anime Conji is sponsored by the San Diego Speculative Fiction Society (SanSFiS), which is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) educational non-profit corporation.  SanSFiS runs various events and conventions and provides information about science fiction and fantasy related fan activities. To find out more about SanSFiS, visit www.sansfis.org”

The convention promises the usual fare; AMV contests, maid cafe, cosplay contests and much more.  A typical adult ticket for the entire show will run you about $45 dollars unless you are part of the club sponsoring the event or have your fan group registered with them.  There will be social events; perhaps a dance or two, but one thing fans are looking forward to are the guests of honor.

So far the website lists 4 main guests of honor: Ruben Langdon (Voice Actor/Stuntman), Tadao Tomomatsu ( TV Actor/Comedian). Kyle Herbert (Voice Actor/Videogames and Anime), and Jon Allen (Voice Actor/Actor/Radio).
